Jeez I've been thinking about this place all week....
I went ahead and tried the peanut butter bacon burger, all I can say is food has never made my toes curl harder and my eyes roll back in my head.
Good thing the tables are sturdy because I grabbed it hard and let out a moan as if I was reading 50 shades of grey when I tasted it.
Oh you haven't tried a peanut butter burger yet? Sounds gross?
Good thing we aren't friends, because right now our friendship would be over with that negative attitude.
The fries where crispy and had the perfect amount of salt, I felt like I couldn't shove them in my food hole fast enough.
Someone make this burger a dating profile because I felt a genuine connection with it, I'll be going there at least once a week until it becomes a daily obsession.
I was on a diet until I decided to have a cheat day and try this place out, I guess I'm alright with being fat if it means I can wolf one of these down once a day...
The Special does not exist anymore.
If you want a burger with small fries (way less than before), it now costs almost the price of TWO specials with cheese.
Also if you order a special with cheese, the employees may talk to you like you're an actual idiot ordering fake food.
My food also came very cold. This is after my last visit where the meat patty was legitimately still frozen! I tired to give them another shot today but the meat has super gone down hill, along with the service.
Charley's still has the best shakes.
Charley's is ok, but I'll never return.
I'm giving them two stars because none of the food was bad, but none of the food really good either.
-The Deluxe Hamburger is deluxe only in name. Look at the picture I posted. It was the most forgettable and unremarkable burger I've seen in a fast food restaurant.
-The Double Cheeseburger was alright. This was a good choice and I enjoyed it.
-The fries were bland & salted like you were storing them for the apocalypse.
-The large onion ring order was anything but. You can see the picture. I could fit all of them on one finger.
Overall, the food was edible, but this is one book you can definitely judge by its cover.
We love this burgers, they are so good, definitely a hidden gem everyone in San Diego should know about it, amd give it a try indeed!!!
Really good mom and pop burger stand. I'm so excited to finally find one here in San Diego. Growing up in the la and Orange County area we can find one anywhere. Only thing I wish was different is that they were charbroiled. But oh well.
